What is that purpose of the Court Reporting (Ticket Disposition) System?

The Federal Government requires that the State of Tennessee, Department of Safety (TDOS), post electronic Court conviction records for a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within 10 days from the date of conviction (Effective Oct 1, 2008). Tennessee State law requires the posting of all convictions to a drivers record within 30 days. TDOS requests that the Courts of Tennessee submit electronic copies of CDL citation convictions within 10 days of conviction for processing and reporting. The Court Reporting (Ticket Disposition) System provides the Courts of Tennessee with a method for submitting all ticket dispositions electronically.

What is the benefit to the Court for reporting electronically?

Tennessee Courts are not required to mail-in abstracts to TDOS when submitting fully completed citation convictions electronically. The ability to print the keyed report or one from history is another beneficial feature for the Courts.
